Not much is known about Antoni Sanguineti, although he published a number of volumes of his designs in the 1860's and 1870's, including "La décoration en bois découpé", "La Marbrerie au XIXe siècle", "L'ameublement au XIX siècle", "La décoration en treillage", and "La serrurerie au XIXe siècle". Although the title page mentions this volume as the first series, there is no indication that a follow-up volume was ever published. Very scarce; as of January 2018, WorldCat locates only two holdings of this volume in North American institutions.
