Contributors to this volume include Otto Wagner, Josef Hoffmann, Marcel Kammerer, and others. Emil Hoppe, the designer of the volume, was an Austrian architect who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna alongside Otto Wagner, and in 1909 founded his own architecture office with Marcel Kammerer and Otto Schönthal. Together they were responsible for creating numerous buildings around Vienna and abroad, including apartment buildings, schools, commercial buildings, a train station, and banks, along with working in the fields of interior design and furniture design.
