Scarce work presenting an overview of the system of social welfare and security in the Soviet Union on the eve of the ten-year anniversary of the October Revolution. With numerous illustrations, it provides information on such topics as the labor situation of invalids, state services for victims of war and counter-revolution, medical services, rights and benefits, public organizations active in social security, international collaboration among war veterans, as well as chapters on the blind and deaf.
With an appearling unattributed wrapper design incorporating cursive stencil-based lettering with more decorative red and black drawn lettershapes and a photograph showing Soviet cobblers at work.
As of June 2020, KVK, OCLC only show one paper copy in North America, at the Hoover Institution.
