[Berlin: self-published, 1985]. Quarto (A4). Original staple-stitched pictorial wrappers; 15, pp. Illustrated throughout from photographs. Very good.
Scarce program issued for the first festival of erotic film in Berlin, held in the summer of 1985. Its goal was to "give an overview of the as yet unexplored regions of sex film and to present the pioneers, trailblazers, and masters of the genre... because despite all the earned liberties of the sexual revolution, erotic cinema is still frowned upon as smut, which self-respecting German eyes must be shielded from" (p. 4). A special series was devoted to the history of pornographic films, as well as the depiction of sexual repression and violence on film. Erotic masterworks were shown alongside hardcore porn, and ample space was also devoted to "Homo Underground und Avantgarde" (p. 12). Filmkunst 66 was, and is, one of the leading independent Berlin movie theatres, founded in 1971 by Franz und Rosemarie Stadler, and still active today in Charlottenburg. As of July 2020, not recorded via KVK or OCLC.
