The Keystone Type Foundry was in operation from 1888 to 1917, before being purchased by the American Type Founders. This volume was issued from its temporary West Coast outpost in Oakland, California, following the devastating San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. Among the typefaces included in this volume are Lowell Series, Old Style, Modern Style, Ben Franklin Series, Ben Franklin Condensed, Caslon Bold, Encore, Niagara, Keystone Gothic, and many others, together with miscellaneous initials, borders, cuts, headings, and decorative ornaments.
