A Moscow telephone book with alphabetical listings of private and business subscribers, including many famous personalities. The book also includes a page titled “Kuda zvonit’” (Where to call?”) with emergency numbers, numbers for ordering telephone or radio installation, hotel and taxi services, etc. Evidently this edition was also placed in public telephone booths. With its many advertisements, including for restaurants and cultural institutions, it provides a valuable glimpse into everyday life in Moscow on the eve of World War II.
