First and only edition of this technical manual on dyeing paper and textiles, published by the factory of aniline dyes of Leopold Cassella in Riga. The firm of Cassella became partners with the Frankfurt-based dye producers Gans and Weinberg, and became one of the largest producers of dyes worldwide, with production sites in Riga and Lyon and sales offices in New York and India. It eventually merged with the I.G. Farben in 1925. The present work contains detailed technical instructions for coloring various types of textiles and textile products. With five photographs showing the process of experimenting with various dyes at the Riga factory, and a view of the factory building.
