Unpaginated (16 pp.) trade catalogue displaying examples of geometric and Art Deco-style inlaid wood banding, one section with secondary title page "Bandes Mosaïque: Art Moderne", the catalogue with 15 chromolithographed pages, chromolithography by H. Bouquet, Paris, each page with numerous examples of inlay in a variety of materials including wood, ivory, and metals such as copper, nickel-silver, and pewter, for applications such as furniture, carriages, religious articles, musical instruments, and frames. Very slight toning and soiling, overall very fine. Oblong 4to. Original printed brown paper wrpps. with braided silk tie at spine, some very minor chipping or creasing at corners. Buffard Frères was a renowned marquetry firm in France operating in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They fell victim to the Great Depression and went out of business in the 1930s. Their shop and offices were located at 21 Fauborg St. Antoine (11ème). A scarce and beautiful catalogue; as of January 2021, OCLC locates one physical copy at a North American institution with a slightly different title, and one in London.
