First and only edition of this delightful children's book for Russian émigrés, which details the journeys of the "Global fellow," who can travel to any point on earth by the powers of his imagination. Illustrated with five chromolithograph plates, as well as a cover illustration and numerous smaller illustrations, by Fedor S. Rozhankovsky (Rojankovsky, 1891-1970), a Russian artist active in French exile who was known for his illustrations for children's books and his erotic works alike.
Kodrianskaia (1901-1983) was a Russian émigré writer of stylistically unconventional fairy tales and childrens' books, and a close friend of Aleksei Remizov, who considered her to be a literary descendant. Her other books were illustrated by Natalia Goncharova and Yury Annenkov.
