Extra. Some Words and Visions.

Unpaginated (approximately 20 leaves) mimeographed artist's book described in another publication by the BGP as "strange doodles and spaghetti visions", containing abstract and avant-garde doodles, sketches, and diagrams, some with brief lines of text integrated into the images. Oblong 8vo. Tape-bound wrpps., some spotting to tape, slight browning to covers, otherwise very good condition overall. Collumpton, Devon (Beau Geste Press) 1971. Limited edition of 100. Beau Geste Press/DIS-series.

Beau Geste Press was co-founded by Felipe Ehrenberg, David Mayor, and Martha Hellion. It was an independent artist's collective dedicated to publishing the work of visual poets, conceptual artists, neo-dadaists, and experimental artists, many of whom were connected to the international Fluxus movement. Based out of a farmhouse in Devon, the BGP published art works, books, pamphlets, and magazines, mostly with inexpensive materials such as mimeograph machines, cheap paper, and staples. On the back cover of another BGP publication, they describe themselves as "a communal company of duplicators disseminating, discovering, disconcerting & generally publishing, producing, packaging the little good things." As of November 2021, OCLC locates six institutional holdings of this work in North America.
