Small unpaginated booklet published anonymously by Julien Blaine and signed "J" to front cover, taking the form of an artist's book containing ideograms offset printed in three colors, using the red, white, and blue of the French flag to depict a visual reaction to the events of May 1968 in Paris, with the red portion overtaking the blue and white sections. 12mo. Julien Blaine is a French artist and poet credited as one of the creators of action poetry and a leading force in French performance art, committing his entire body to his poetry and his performances. He has published many small limited edition political artist's books, including "Je ne suis pas américain" and "Cuba Cola". This particular booklet was distributed during the May 1968 demonstrations.
A scarce work from a important time of political upheaval; as of November 2021, OCLC locates six holdings of this booklet worldwide, with three of those holdings in North American institutions.
