Typographic specimen book issued by the nationalized Svoboda concern, a publisher specializing in works in the social sciences and philosophy, as well as classics of Marxism-Leninism. Svoboda was founded in 1945, initially as a part of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, and active under the current name until 1952, though it continued to exist until 1998.

The specimen book features a wide variety of fonts, including striking larger fonts such as “Knock-Out” and “Black-futura.” In addition to hand letters, the book includes Monotype and Linotype fonts.

As of December 2021, KVK, OCLC show only one copy, at Harvard.
