Collection of over 500 cigar and cigarette bands, dating mostly to the 1960s, from a group of over 20 cigar makers and brands. Many, if not all, of the companies are Dutch, and include Agio, Alto, Willem II, Ritmeester, Patma, Washington, Panter, Schimmelpenninck, Derk de Vries, Velasques, Karel I, Hofnar, Flor de Cuba, La Paz, Martinez, Uiltje, Cadena, Balmoral, Duc George, Elisabeth Bas, Senator, and Kaveewee.

The iconography on many of the labels is quite striking and intricately detailed. Pictured motifs include fine art and portraiture, birds, insects including beetles and butterflies, equestrian, military and cavalry, typography, architecture, flags, and interesting typography.

A beautiful and graphically striking collection epitomizing 1960s Dutch advertising and printing.
