This volume of sheet music contains music and lyrics for the famous nineteenth-century romance, "Astry osennie" (Autumn Asters). Its title page features Constructivist artwork in green and orange by an unnamed artist. The volume is one of a series, and was published in Kyiv with a print run of 1000. Nikolai Ivanovich Kharito, the composer of 'Astry osennie', was a well-known nineteenth-century Ukrainian composer whose romances enjoyed popularity in the early 1900s. Kharito met his tragic end at the wedding of his good friend Aleksandr Kozachinsky; the composer was shot by Baron Bongarden during the festivities.
