Attractive volume containing the editor's reflection on and description of new year's greeting cards received in 1934, with detailed accounting of the various genres and motifs encountered. The second part of the book contains a detailed bibliography of various privately printed publications issued as new year's or Christmas greetings. The present work follows up on a 1934 volume which was issued on the occasion of the joint meeting of the Association of Czech Bibliophiles and the Association of Collectors and Friends of Bookplates, held on March 9, 1933 in Prague. Also included are a frontis etching by F. T. Šimon, 43 plates, some in color and some on facing pages, and four smaller drawings, including an original woodcut print by Josef Váchal. Other artists include Ketzek, Mikuláš Galanda, Jaroslav Votruba, Rudolf Landa, Jožka Baruch, B. Mudroch, Karel Štika, Antonín Morávek, A. Burka (signed in pencil), Alois Moravec, and others.
