Fluxus Event Scores

Five Event Score Cards.

N.p.: n.d. (circa 1966-1968). Various sizes (from 5 x 6.3 cm to 10.8 x 8.2 cm). Loose cream cardstock cards; three printed recto only, two printed recto and verso. Two cards with slight toning, overall very good. Provenance: Klaus Groh Archive.

Albert M. Fine (1932-1987) was an American composer, artist, and poet. His composition varied widely in style, but he was best known for his works created within the Fluxus sphere and for his activity in the international Mail Art movement.

The five small event score cards included here are:

I. Scale Piece for John Cage, dated 1966, printed recto only. From the Fluxus Codex, 248: "I have not seen this work. Evidently there was a prototype for a Fluxus edition." MoMA 3563.2008.x1-x25.
II. Play for George Brecht (second version), undated [1966], text to recto with illustration to verso.
III. Fluxus Piece for G.M. [George Maciunas], undated [1966], printed recto only. MoMA 2460.2008.5.
IV. Clothespin Spring, undated [1966/1968], text printed to recto and verso. Fondazione Bonotto code FX0436.
