Uncommon history of the socialist and communist movement in Ukraine, by Matvii Stakhiv (1895–1978), a West Ukrainian politician, activist, and scholar from Galicia. His activities in exile (Germany, then the USA) was the subject of a recent article (O. Kozii, "Matviy Stakhiv’s work in scientific and educational centers in emigration", in: Skhidnoievropeiskyi istorychnyi visnyk [East European Historical Bulletin], 21, 188–197). First published in serialized form in "Hromads'kyi holos" (Community Voice), a Ukrainian monthly in L'viv.
