Arnost Budik. Les doutes rassurants, collages surrealistes. galerie regard 17, du 15 novembre au 10 decembre 1972.
Brussels: Galerie Regard 17, [1972]. Single leaf of coated stock, folded three times to create a leaflet, [4] pp. of text and one large color reproduction to recto. Very good.
An apparently unrecorded program for an exhibition of works by Arnošt Budík, an important younger-generation Czech surrealist who was a co-founder of the Lacoste Group in Brno. Born in 1936, Budík was active as a writer and collage artist, as well as a tireless organizer of exhibits in his native Czechoslovakia, before relocating to Belgium in 1969. With an introductory text by Pierre Dhainaut, a list of the artist's exhibits, a short biography, and an outline of the key themes of the exhibit. A curious document from the early period of the Czech surrealist's activity in the West. Not in KVK, OCLC.
